On Wednesday night, Vivian’s brothers gather in order to persuade her not to divorce her husband, Eliyahu.
Eliyahu would have liked to preserve the customs of the old traditional world of Morocco, from where they came, however, she would have liked to live a new life in modern Israel. To take a Wife is a story of tradition, love and fear of the future which takes place in Israel of the late 70’s.
